Our Accreditations
Gas Safe
Gas Safe Register is the official list of gas engineers in the United Kingdom, Isle of Man, Guernsey, and Jersey. To work legally on gas appliances and installations you must be on the Gas Safe Register.
The Gas Safe Register, gas registration scheme is owned by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and exists to protect the public from unsafe gas work.
By becoming a Gas Safe registered business, you show your customers that you are working legally. It also shows you are competent and safe to work with gas.
Constructionline
Constructionline is the UK’s largest register of contractors, consultants, and suppliers for the construction industry. It provides a platform for buyers to find pre-qualified suppliers, streamlining the procurement process and saving valuable time and resources. By becoming accredited with Constructionline, suppliers demonstrate their compliance with industry standards and best practices, giving buyers confidence in their capabilities and reliability.
Acclaim
Acclaim Accreditation is a health and safety accreditation scheme provided by Constructionline. It assesses a supplier’s health and safety management systems and practices to ensure compliance with legal requirements and industry standards. Acclaim accreditation provides buyers with assurance that accredited suppliers prioritize health and safety in their operations, reducing the risk of accidents and injuries on construction sites.
Safe Contractor
SafeContractor is a leading health and safety accreditation scheme that provides a rigorous assessment of contractors and suppliers to ensure they meet high standards of health and safety compliance. Developed by Alcumus, SafeContractor helps organizations identify and work with reliable and competent contractors who prioritize health and safety in their operations.
SafeContractor accreditation involves a comprehensive assessment of a contractor’s health and safety policies, procedures, and practices. Contractors undergo a rigorous evaluation of their risk management processes, training programs, incident reporting mechanisms, and compliance with health and safety legislation. Accredited contractors receive a certification demonstrating their commitment to health and safety excellence, which is recognized and respected by clients, stakeholders, and industry peers.
ISO 9001:2015
ISO 9001 is an international standard for quality management systems (QMS) developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). It provides a framework for organizations to establish, implement, maintain, and continually improve processes that ensure product and service quality, customer satisfaction, and compliance with applicable regulations.
ISO 45001:2018 SSIP

What accreditations does Acorn MPS have?
Acorn MPS have maintained ISO:9001 & ISO:45001 for many years which is regularly audited to ensure that we have systems and procedures in place to provide a quality service with the best health & safety practices.
We also have SafeContractor, Constructionline, Acclaim and Gas Safe accreditations and we are members of RESET.
Do you directly employ your own workforce?
Yes, we have a workforce which are directly employed. All employees undertake regular training and have continuous learning plans so we will be providing highly qualified staff to your project.
During busy periods, we have a core group of sub-contractors that have worked for us for many years and have passed our sub-contractor vetting procedure.
What size contracts do you undertake?
We work on all size projects up to a value of £2m.
Which geographical areas do you work?
We cover all parts of the UK.
Are there any sectors that you don’t provide your services?
We cover all sectors apart from domestic clients.
Can you manage projects in the capacity of Principal Contractor?
Yes, we regularly undertake work in the capacity of Principal Contractor. All our Project Managers are CDM and Health & Safety trained to undertake this task.
Do you undertake design of your services?
Yes, we can provide a design service and maintain £5m in Professional Indemnity Cover.
