We are proud to share that Acorn MPS has been awarded Cyber Essentials Plus, the higher level of the UK government-backed Cyber Essentials scheme.
Unlike the basic Cyber Essentials self-assessment, Cyber Essentials Plus includes a hands-on technical audit. An independent assessor tested our devices, accounts and systems to check that the five core controls are in place and working: firewalls, secure configuration, user access control, malware protection and security updates.
The certification covers the whole organisation and was awarded through CyberSmart, an IASME certification body. It runs until October 2027, when we will be reassessed.
Why it matters
We work on schools, hospitals and airports, where customers expect their contractors to take data and cyber security seriously. Cyber Essentials Plus shows them, independently, that we do, and it is increasingly asked for on public sector tenders.
